Grantown is on the River Spey which is well known for salmon fishing,
Near by is the Cairngorm Ski Area and the Lecht Ski Area .There
are many other outdoor activities such as walking and cycling
in the Badenoch and Strathspey area. The Speyside Way passes through
Granton and the Strathspey Steam Railway runs from Aviemore through
Boat of Garten to Broomhill. The RSPB centre at Abernethy has
wonderful bird watching facilities and is well known for its osprey
visitors.
