Mitzi and Davdd from South Africa had been told about places in Scotland to visit by their friends. One of these was the Old Spey Bridge.Davdd said that after seeing 'Braveheart' he had wanted to come to Scotland to see some of the places mentioned in the film. Next they were travelling to Wallace's Monument near Stirling as part of their visit to Scotland.

Some of the skies in Grantown in autumn are spectacular. I think this is because of the clear atmosphere and the cloud formation as the sun goes down in the west.

The Dunedin Chapter of Harley-Davidson Owners meet annually in Aviemore. This meeting attracts thousands of Harley bikers from all over Europe and beyond. Over the last five years the Harley-Davidson bikers have accepted an invitation to come to Grantown...........which they do in style.
2000+ bikers arrived in a long convoy, roaring and blowing horns as spectators waved their welcome. The Square and High Street were lined with Harleys of every description, all shining and looking magnificent. There were stalls, music and entertaiment for everyone to enjoy.
It was a wonderful experience and hopefully they will return next year 2010.

Although autumn has not arrived yet.....I thought you might like a reminder of last year's wonderful autumn show.
Allan and I would be delighted to look after you should you decide to come and see the beautiful landscapes for yourselves.

The rowans ( mountain ash ) trees are spectacular in September.

Mr Duncan Grant (wearing Ancient Grant tartan) and his son James ( tartan- Ancient Hunting Grant) both stayed at Parkburn while attending the Clan Grant Gathering at Abernethy Games. Next year, in 2010, there will be an International Clan Grant Gathering at Nethy Bridge when people from all over the world will meet to celebrate their special identity with the Grant Clan. A group of Cherokee Indians with Grant connections are hoping to attend !! Everyone, participants and visitors are assured of a wonderful welcome and a day to remember.
